My car is 11 yrs. old 150,000 miles; the no.2 spark plug had blown out of the engine block, steering went wobbly, had to be towed in to my mechanic. They said forget it this time I needed a new car!! Kevin is honest, genuine, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and inexpensive -- everything you could possibly want in a mechanic. For me, being able to trust my mechanic is really important (as is not being up-sold on a bunch of repairs I don't really need). My wife and I live in LA and were on vacation here in San Diego when we started having some mysterious car trouble. Internet research led me to SCA Transmission, and boy am I glad it did. I asked them to do an oil change and to see if they could figure out what was wrong. It turned out to be an easy fix, so they only charged me for the oil change! Kevin also took the time to answer a few questions and to give me some helpful advice for keeping the car running smoothly and improving my gas mileage, all without making me feel like a moron. If (when) we have major car trouble in the future, I would seriously consider driving all the way down here again.
