Dr. Matthews is truly a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable in many areas, not just neurology and headaches. For example, he knows much more about endocrine problems than any of the endocrinologists I have ever seen. He has a great "bedside manner," and is open to trying new medicines or treatments that may not be standard practice. His willingness to try new approaches helped me considerably once all "by the book" treatments failed. If you need any evidence of his intelligence, just check out his credentials on the website. Also all of his office employees are very nice and helpful. Recently he added a Nurse Practicioner, Amanda Del Rio. I have also seen her, and she is great. She has gone out of her way to call me back hours after the office closed. After years of being frustrated by a number of doctors, I am so thankful I found this practice!
