Pleasantly surprised! For March. Kids loved the water park (but it's crowded Saturday), rooms were nice. Breakfast was pretty good.

Will NEVER stay here again

THe hype on this place ( facebook page, moderated by Nichole) is a joke. The room was liveable, minus the three roaches I had to kill. The fact that its up to a twelve floor hotel with only one ice machine on each end of the building, ON the FIRST floor only was a major let down. They do not tell you until after check in that you will have to park a block down the road and walk to your hotel building. The resort has two buildings The palms and the palmetto. If you are misfortunate enough to be in the palms, you are at the mercy of having to walk. They "say" they have a shuttle, but we never saw it, nor was ever told of it till two days into our trip. you CAN pay eight dollars a day for vallet service, which was the price one person told us. While in the lobby the second day it jumped to ten dollars a day, and then on might of second day it changed to fifteen dollars a day. Guess they can not set things in stone at this place. Price for vallet changes as the wind flows. The rise and shine special ( free breakfast) was a joke. They advertise its for "the room" implying all that are staying in the room, but this is not the case. If you have four adults staying it only covers two. if you have children, you pay for the children. The face book account is too misleading, and full of lies, which are frther fueld by nichole. Nicole will delete any negative remarks tat are made. I made it known about the parking issues and she removed my remarks saying "it was untrue" hello.. the parking IS down the street.....No lie there. They aslo fail to tell you that the wait in line for the free breakfast will take you up to about an hour to an hour and a half. The food was not even worth the wait. Bacon was full of fat, potatoes were cold, juices were waterd down. for ALL of the people with kids staying here they have only THREE waffle makers.and the wait time for ONE waffle was not worth the money people HAD to pay.

The employees over all were friendly. Yes, it was discovered the next day that the refrigerator in each room does have an ice maker. The ice that was in ours was in there well over a weeks time as it was dark colored and did NOT look consumable. And the shower? Instead of it feeling like i was TAKING A SHOWER, i felt like i was standing beneath a summer mister...They do have wireless internet in the room, IF you can get it to work at all Most of the time was spent with their wireless service not working to well. On the second night, I went to the front desk to get some towels, as maid service left two small hand towels only. I arrived at the front desk at about 6 pm, only to see a note on the desk. The front desk was "closed until seven am " the next day! So, if I am to be placed in the Palms tower, I have to DRIVE to the Palmetto tower, walk to the second floor to check in, then get back in my car, DRIVE to the palms tower, fr fifteen minutes only, unload my stuff, then rive BACK to the parking garage across the street from the Palmetto tower and then walk BACK to the palms tower. I have to traverse across a busy highway in order to get to and from my vehicle. This experience was not to my liking, and the fact that they did not seem to care, makes me certain I will never stay here nor will I ever endorse this place.
