I do not recommend. I called for a camper tire after having a flat and being stuck in Maryland on the way home from vacation. The man quoted me around $50 on the phone I said that was fine and came in. Once the tire was on he told me the total was $93. When questioned about the price given when called he said they did not have that tire in stock. He never made me aware of that when I arrived. After getting home from a long vacation I soon find out that the tire they put on normally sold around $80 WITH the rim. I did not receive a rim, just a tire. Definitely feel taken adavantage of.

Pope tire and state inspection

I have never felt more ripped off than when I took my truck to get state inspected at pope!!! They were the most expensive of all the other places I called but, could take it right away and told me "it will be done in an hour". They took close to 3 hrs to do the inspection than gave me the items that needed fixed and the price they would charge. They put ridiculous items on the list such as the seat belt being caught under the middl seat which the guy who did the inspection said "I could fix by just pulling it out". They wanted to charge me $71 to "fix" that. There were about 20 things on th. list. The total to get it fixed to pass md inspection they said was $2900 some odd dollars granted I only paid $2,000 for the truck and was told all it needed was the rear brakes replaced and possibly a track board. Jeff the owner at pope wanted to charge me $1700 in labor and close to $1300 in parts. So now my truck is just sitting at my house. It must not be that bad tough since it passed md admissions test in march 2014 and this took place on April 9, 2014. When I originally called in to Inquire about the md Inspection I told Jeff Crampton the owner I was concerned about bringing it there due to bad reviews his business had gotten online. He told me "that he took care of those ppl who complained by fixing what they r complaining about. If this is true I would love to have my money back so I can take it to another business that does md inspection and if they say th same thing I will turn this one star to 5!!! I will keep yp informed on whether Jeff crampton calls me to reimburse me for the $70 fee so I can take my 97 dodge ram truck to have a second opinion. I advise no one go there they are not only overpriced but, lie about many things including how long it will even take to do the work. I'm only commenting on here because even though I saw they had 1 star for a similar. Prob from another customer who was trying to get an inspection done I went anyways because the owner Jeff at pope told me those things happen and he reimbursed/fixed all those probs out of his pocket (also I lie I found out) they take ur money before they even do the inspection or work so that ur stuck like I was. I hope everyone heeds my warning and stays away from this place!!! Thanks Lauran H

Pathetic, outrageous, and ridiculous!

Took my sequoia there for md inspection. They wanted $30 to replace a tag light bulb, $130 to buff some hazing of the plastic on the headlights, and charged me 1.5 hours of labor $105 to "secure front brake line". That was done with two plastic zip ties by them to the control arm which I realized a month later when I was changing the oil. I buffed the headlights myself with $8 plastic cleaner from advanced auto. I relaxed the tag light bulb $3 and two screws. How do they get away with this nonsense? NEVER AGAIN will I go there and I hope this may help others in their decision as well!

You're better off having a monkey fix your car. Horrible serivce and OWNER doesn't stand by his work, full of excuses, and belittles you by questioning my intelligence when he puts the wrong part onto my car. Horrible customer service and even worse service with NO WARRANTIES

STAY AWAY

This is a most horrible customer serive and service in general place EVER!!! I went in and had a part installed which turns out to be the incorrect part. The OWNER refuses to check his work and threatened to call the cops because I asked him to fix his mistake. He then questioned my intelligence and said HE DOES NOT STAND BY HIS WORK. Not to mention, it costs an arm and a leg for nothing but a headache. OWNER has no clue what his Warranties are.

Beware! The man sold me on some 70,000 mile tread ware warranty tires over the phone. I got there, they put them on, I got home and realized I never received a warranty card. I had no proof of what the mileage was on my car when they installed the tires. So ... I called them. The man said to write my mileage down on the receipt they gave me, and put it in my glove compartment. I thought this sounded a bit fishey, so I looked up the tires I purchased on my computer, and they are only 50,000 mile tires. I spent too much money for the tires. It is my own fault for not doing my research ahead of time. There is nothing wrong with the tires I purchased. Its just that I was mislead by Pope Tire Warehouse & Service Center, Inc.
