I have been thinking about the best way to warn my friends in the Tidewater area NOT to use a Extermination company that my parents used since 1985.

As you know my mom passed on August and we sold the house. Upon receipt of the termination report we had $4900 worth of damage, once they open the walls up, 9 beams had to be replaced and the total bill came to $10,500.

Forrest extermination has been treating and servicing this house since 1985, which my Dad did repairs for the termite damage. In July of this year they treated the house, wrote the same comment previous damage. I talked with the service person, he told me that there was no repairs needed, other than mouse dropping on hot water heater and just put some traps in the garage.

I guess you can imagine the shock when we had to pay over $10,000 for repairs and treatment to be able to sell the house.

The service person from Forrest Termination over the time of treatment to our for over 30 years never told or offer a solution to repair any termite damage. This year we also had to pay for the house being treated again, after Forrest extermination just treated it in July.

I think they are wrong in not making a 90 + person understand she had problems and informing her she had problems. I am sure with the comments that was written on the service ticket, that Mom thought they was talking about the repairs that my Dad had already done.

Shame on Forrest Extermination located in Chesapeake not doing a better job of making sure thier customers understand what needs to be done.

I have reported Forrest Extermination to the BBB. Next step is they attorney general and any other agent that will listen. I feel they took advantage of my mother and that they are liable for some of the cost for repairs for not doing thier job.

I did talk with the company and all they could say was the comments was on the service ticket. How is it that other termite companies offer solution but they did not .

Please feel free to share my post so that others are not hurt by Forrest Extermination. If use them in hope you find another company that will look out for you.

I had my first appointment for ants. The man who came to my house was very poite and professional. But dealing with the people on the phone and trying to get anything accomplished is frustrating at best.

What a great company! I will refer them to all my family & friends.

I called to have my house sprayed for spiders. They came and put some sort of powder around the windows and any openings under the sinks. I have just as many spiders now, if not more, than I had prior to my service!! Then, through my condo association Forrest came out to check for termites, and at that time I told them of my displeasure of their service. He said he would make a note and have someone contact me, and I received NO follow up call. Very poor service and I would not recommend them!!

I was extremely pleased with the service Forrest Exterminating Service, Inc. provided me with. One day my home was full of ants, and within 2 days, the ants were gone. The service technician was extremely polite, informative and made me feel very at ease. I will definately use them again.
